What we process

We do not sell personal data. We do not run advertising or analytics on madebasic.net, and we do not process payments there today.

When you use the website, standard server logs may include your IP address, browser type, pages requested, and similar technical data needed to run and secure the site.

If you create an account, we store your email address and a hashed password, plus any product keys and activated devices linked to your account.

Made Basic desktop apps contact api.madebasic.net to activate or validate licences. That may include a product key, product name, device identifier, and IP address for security.

App content such as calendar notes or scan results is stored on your device and is not sent to Made Basic servers through normal app use.

If you email us, we process your message so we can reply.

We use essential cookies for login and form security only. See the Cookie Policy.

We use hosting and infrastructure providers to operate madebasic.net and api.madebasic.net. Private account data and app content are not intentionally submitted to search engines.

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where the law requires safeguards for those transfers, we use them.

Retention, rights, and security

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, unless the law requires longer. Account data stays until it is no longer needed or is deleted. Local app data stays on your device until you remove it.

You may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to processing of your data, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Email us to make a request.

Made Basic is not aimed at children under 13. We use HTTPS, password hashing, and other measures to protect the service, but no online service is completely secure.

We may update this policy when Made Basic changes or before paid sales are enabled.
